Calculate Sun Position in Halle
Calculator for the position of the Sun in Halle from local position, date and time. Angle above horizon and direction will be shown. By pressing Current coordinates, the coordinates known to your device as own position will be shown. This has to be permitted to the device and maybe GPS has to be activated. You can also enter own coordinates, as decimal degrees, latitude and longitude separated by space. Then you have to take care that the time zone matches these coordinates. Or choose one of 50 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from the list at the bottom.
For date, time and time zone, the current device values are preset. These can be changed at will, e.g. to show the position of the Sun at a certain time. If you changed time or date, you can reset it by pressing Current time.
UTC is the coordinated world time. Central European time is UTC-1, when daylight saving is active, it is UTC-2. At a positive height (angle), it is day. When the height above horizon is negative, the Sun is below the horizon, it is night. The direction is shown in degrees and as an abbreviation, with N for North, S for South, E for East and W for West. The value in degrees is more exact.
