Calculate fraction with numerator 1

Calculator that converts a fraction so that there is a one in the numerator. The denominator may then contain a decimal fraction. In fact, this will happen quite frequently. This notation with a decimal in the denominator is very unusual, but it can help in illustrating a fraction. With fractions like this, you can easily see which unit fractions are nearby and thus get a good sense of their size at a glance, which is more difficult with other types of fraction.
Please enter a decimal fraction such as 0.5 or a fraction in the form 2/3; the denominator of the fraction with 1 as the numerator will be calculated.

Fraction to convert:

Fraction with numerator one: 1/

Example: 13/77 will be calculated as 1/5.9230769230769, where it can be seen better that it is about one sixth, a bit more, as the denominator is slightly smaller than six.

The denominator is calculated as the inverted fraction of the decimal fraction of the entered value. So, in the example above, the inverted fraction of 13/77 is 77/13. This as a decimal fraction is 5.9230769230769, now again as an inverted fraction, i.e., 1 divided by this value.

Fractions with a numerator of one and a natural number greater than zero as denominator, such as 1/3, are called unit fractions. Fractions in the form N/D, with natural numbers as numerator and denominator, are called common fractions. Fractions with a decimal point and decimal places are called decimal fractions. A fraction in the form 1/2.5, a mixture of a common fraction and a decimal fraction, has no specific name, but can be referred to as a fraction with a decimal denominator. Fractions of this type are considered improper and are usually converted into common fractions or decimal fractions. However, they do occur sometimes as intermediate results. The easiest way to convert them is to make a decimal fraction out of them. All you have to do then is to perform the calculation. For 1/2.5 you get 0.4.
