Calculate Future Time Data

Calculator for the time of day in x hours, minutes and seconds and for the day of the week in x days. The time of day is repeated every 24 hours, the day of the week every 7 days. Here it is calculated what time of day and what day of the week it is again after a certain time span. The past days or weeks are also displayed.

Time of day

Enter a time of day in 24-hours-format, or select the current time, and specify the duration, in hours, minutes, and seconds, to be added. Fields left blank will be set to 0.

hours : minutes : seconds
Time of day: : :
Add time: : :
Future time: : :
days later

Example: It is 7:21 in the morning. Forty hours later, it is 23:21 in the evening of the following day, that is, one day later.

Day of week

Enter a day of the week or select the current day, and specify the number of days to be added. Fields left blank will be set to 0.

Day of week:
Add days:
Future day:
weeks later

Example: If today is Friday, then 18 days from now is a Tuesday in the third week following.

For more detailed date calculations, see scheduler for periodically recurring dates and deadline calculator.

The first calculator operates as follows: for both time values, the starting time and the time to be added, hours, minutes and seconds are summed up separately. If the seconds exceed 60, 60 is subtracted from them and the minute count is increased by 1. This process repeats until the seconds are below 60. The same logic applies to the minutes. For the hours, the calculation is based on a 24-hour cycle. The day count starting at 0 increases by 1 whenever 24 hours are subtracted. Take the example above: 7:21+40h=47:21. Then, 47h-24h=23h, resulting in a time one day later.
The second calculator assigns numbers to days of the week: Monday is 1, Tuesday is 2, and so on. A specific value is added to this number, and the result is calculated using modulo 7, the remainder after division by 7. Using the example above: 5+18=23, 23/7=3 with a remainder of 2. This means 3 weeks later, with a remainder of 2, corresponding to a Tuesday.
