Doubling Calculator

Calculates, how often a doubling has to occur, to get from one value to another. The calculation is done with the binary logarithm lb.

Formulas: b=a*2^x, x=lb(b/a)

Decimal places:

Insert two values, the third value will be calculated. The maximal value for the decimal places is 15.

Example: to get a hundredfold of a value, e.g. to get from 1 to 100, it has to be doubled 6.644 times. To get a thousandfold, a bit less than 10 doublings are needed.
