Calculate Milliliters in a Capsule

Calculator how many milliliters fit in a capsule of a certain size and how big the volume is at a certain filling level.

A capsule, as often used for medicines, is also mathematically referred to as a capsule. Its content results from the length and diameter.

Capsule

Example: a capsule with a length of 15 millimeters and a diameter of 8 millimeters has a volume of 0.62 milliliters.

Please enter length and diameter, the volume will be calculated. The length must be greater than the diameter.

Length:mm
Diameter:mm
Volume:ml

When the capsule is only partially filled, the contents are in the form of a capsule segment.

Partially filled capsule

Example: a capsule with a length of 15 millimeters, a diameter of 8 millimeters and a fill level of 3 millimeters contains of 0.2 milliliters.

Please enter length, diameter and fill level, the other values will be calculated. The fill level must not exceed the diameter. If equal, the capsule is full.

Length:mm
Diameter:mm
Fill level:mm
Volume:ml

Filled capsule

This medicine capsule with a length of 23 millimeters and a diameter of 6 millimeters holds 0.59 milliliters. If it is filled to 5 millimeters, then it contains 0.53 milliliters.

Here you can convert metric volume units into customary and imperial units.
