Calculate Round Field

Calculator for the circumference and size of a round, circular field, with different units. A circular field is one where every point on the field has a specific maximum distance from its center, meaning it is either that far away or closer to it. This center is also called the midpoint, and the maximum distance from it is called the radius. The diameter is twice the radius. The circumference is the outer line of the circle. To calculate the circumference and area, the irrational number pi is needed, which is written with the Greek letter π.
Please enter one value and choose the units. The other three values will be calculated.

Radius:
Diameter:
Circumference:
Area:

Units of measurement: cm=centimeter, dm=decimeter, m=meter, km=kilometer, in=inch, ft=foot, yd=yard, mi=mile, ²,sq=square, a=are, ha=hectare, ac=acre

Formulas:

Radius r
Diameter d = 2 r
Circumference c = 2 π r
Area A = π r²

Cirlce, round field
A round field or circle.

The circle is one of the best-known and most frequently used geometric shapes. However, it is less commonly found as a field. In agriculture, round fields occur, when a rotating watering is performed, like at the center pivot irrigation in very dry regions. In this system, an arm rotates around a central point, the length of which is the radius of the irrigated circular area. Everything within this radius is irrigated as the irrigation arm rotates in a circle around this central point. If this rotation cannot be continuous and the arm has to reverse direction at a certain point, for example due to an obstacle, then the irrigated area takes the form of a circular sector.
Fields used for sports are usually not circular, but parts of them can certainly be. An example of this is the center circle on a soccer field and in the arenas of many other sports.
