Calculate Day between Dates

Calculator for the day which is between two dates, either exactly in the middle, or at any ratio. Please enter start and end date. The ratio is preset with 1:1, so that the day between is in the middle. If e.g. the ratio is changed to 2:1, then the day between is chronologically twice as far away from the start date as from the end date, two thirds of the time period will be before the day between and one third after that.

Example: if there is no leap year, then the day exactly in the middle of the year is July 2nd. In a leap year, it is July 1st. The reason for this is that in the first half of the year there is the shortest month February and three month with 31 days length, whereas in the second half of the year there are four month with 31 days length.

Another example: you are assigned a task on September 17th, for which you have until December 1st. The time period in which you should have completed half of the work in terms of time expenditure is October 24th. Ninety percent, i.e. the ratio 9:1, should be completed by November 23rd. After that, you still have a tenth of the planned time period left, nine tenths have passed.
However, this calculation does not take weekends and holidays into account. It is of course also difficult to estimate the time expenditure; it is often the case that the work progresses slowly at first and then speeds up later, but this does not apply to all types of work. So the type of work should be estimated in advance. Finally, it is probably not advisable to slow down or postpone work due to such work planning if you initially progress faster than planned. Nevertheless, it can be helpful to know in advance on which dates you will have completed which portion of a period of time.
