Calculate the Time Between two Times of Day
A simple calculator for the time span between two times of day, the time difference. When the second time of day is before the first one, it is assumed that the second is on the next day. The times of day must be entered in the 24h format.
Examples: from 11:32 and 40 seconds to 17:18 and 20 seconds it is 5 hours, 45 minutes and 40 seconds. Between 22:45 and 2:30, which is the next day, there are 3 hours, 45 minutes.
Time span between times, taking into account the day transition. Colloquially: from ... to ... it takes ...
The current time can be entered in the desired line using the corresponding buttons. This time is your own system time, and it is not checked whether it is correct. Often you do not need the information to be accurate to the second, so you can delete the seconds at the touch of a button and the calculation will then be restarted without them.
If the second time is before the first, it is assumed that it refers to the next day. Otherwise, both times are on the same day. This calculator can therefore deliver results within a maximum period of 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. For times between which there are several days, see the deadline calculator, where you can also calculate with an exact date.
Sometimes it is important to know an exact period of time that always takes place at the same time. A simple example is timetables where a bus, train or similar leaves at the same time every day (or every working day) and reaches the next station at a certain time. Here you can determine how long this takes. This value is of course theoretical. Most people have probably experienced once or more that the actual departure time, arrival time and duration in between can differ from this theory.
