Daytime: : :

Hours:

Minutes:
Seconds:

Example: if it is 16:25, then the day is already 985 minutes old. If 985 minutes is entered, this daytime will be calculated. The output will also be 16.417 hours and 59100 seconds. Each of these two values corresponds to the 985 minutes, or 16 hours and 25 minutes.

If a single value is entered as the time span, and its length is greater than a whole day, the time will be displayed in an unusual format. For example, if you enter 5000 minutes, the daytime output will be 83:20. While mathematically correct, nobody actually displays times like that. You can correct this output to 11:20, 3 days later at Correct Time.

A unit is a value representing a physical quantity. In this case, that quantity is time. Time, in particular, has many different units, which exist in varying proportions to one another. The length of a day is, of course, astronomically determined, but its subdivisions are not. This has historical origins. The conversion factor of 60 for seconds, minutes, and hours dates back to the Babylonians, whereas the ancient Egyptians divided the day into 24 hours. Such factors make estimating these time intervals difficult and unintuitive for us today, as we are accustomed to calculating in the decimal system.

Expressing time using multiple units is something we are used to and therefore understand well. However, calculations are easier with a single unit. For example, when taking the ratio of two times, this is dividing one by the other, it is much simpler with one unit.
