Calculate Cost of Battery Charge

Calculator for the costs of charging the battery of an electric device, depending on accu size and electricity rate. The accu size is given in watt-hours, this can be calculated from capacity in ampere-hours and voltage in volts. With the electricity rate, which commonly is priced per kilowatt-hour and the charge in percent, the costs per charge can be calculated.

Example: a smartphone battery has a capacity of 2420 mAh and a voltage of 3.8 volts. This makes the accu size 9.2 kWh. At an electricity rate of 30 cents per kWh, one charge of 80 percents costs less than a quarter of a cent.
